GREE (3632) announced today (September 20) that it has concluded an absorption-type demerger agreement with the new company GREE, which will become the successor company, regarding the transition to a holding company structure announced on August 22.
The assets, liabilities, contractual status and other rights and obligations of the GREE Platform business, part of the development common division and other assets operated by GREE will be transferred, and the sales of that division for the fiscal year ending June 2024 are expected to be 8.115 billion yen.
The effective date of the absorption-type company split is scheduled to be January 1, 2025, and on that day GREE plans to change its trade name to “GREE Holdings, Inc.”
